So we’d previously reported that indie Slasher film The Mangled would be featuring the likes of horror legends Bill Moseley and Michael Berryman, and now news comes that Lawrence W. Nelson II and crew have added Edwin Neal to the cast.
Those in the know will recognize Neal as The Hitchhiker from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In The Mangled, Neal plays Grandfather Bates.
Also joining the cast is a veritable who’s-who of indie horror stars and up-and-comers, including Elissa Dowling, Mindy Robinson, Juliet Reeves, Hoyt Richards, Morgan Lester, Rebecca Olejniczak, Tyler Thomas Turner, Carla Ascota, and Sophie Gotberg as Daisy Bates.
The production is still casting for the key role of Cletus Bates.
Handling special FX will be Hawgfly Productions Inc and—adding yet more pedigree to the project—the great Harry Manfredini takes on composer duties.
The Mangled is shaping up to be a project worth watching. Keep checking back for further news.
