So we’ve been reporting on Axeman at Cutter’s Creek for a while now, bringing you interviews with the cast (and we’ve got more to come), as well as Survive-a-Slasher tips from it’s potential Final Girls (yup, more of those on the way too), but now comes the first official image from the upcoming Slasher.
The image shows Deputy Darlene Whitfield, played by Arielle Brachfeld (check out our interview with Brachfeld), just as she, as the film’s writer/director, Joston Theney (interview), puts it, “responds to a distress call and finds a reason to become alarmed.”
Dunno if the image has been altered or if it actually represents the visual style of the entire film, but if the latter, I gotta say that high-contrast look is pretty ballsy. It’s an unusual look, seems both crisp and washed out all at once, and I kinda like it. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
One thing, though: Deputy Whitfield seems to take a pretty relaxed approach to the ol’ dress code. But, hell, I’m guessing that’s actually meant to tell us a little something about her character.
The film also stars Elissa Dowling, Tiffany Shepis, Brinke Stevens (interview), Ray Trickitt, Chantelle Albers, Jamie Bernadette (interview), Erin Marie Hogan, Eliza Kiss, Dylan Hobbs, Stephen Eith, J. Scott, Carlos Javier Castillo, Paula Tracey Wilson and NBA superstar Scot Pollard as the Axeman.
Be sure to take a gander at all our Axeman at Cutter’s Creek coverage and keep coming back for more.
