A tip from Arielle Brachfeld: Don’t under-estimate the killer’s agility simply because of his large size

Ask anyone to describe the typical Slasher and they’ll invariably summon the image of a slow-walking, lumbering behemoth in a creepy-mask. But when faced with a Slasher, assuming he’ll be stereotypically easy to evade could get you hacked to tiny, tiny pieces.

Arielle Brachfeld, who plays Deputy Darlene Whitfield in the recently wrapped Axeman at Cutter’s Creek, is especially cognizant of this fact, given that the killer stalking her is played by Scot Pollard, a 6’11, 280lbs former NBA star. So, yeah, he’s big, but you also know he can move.

As Brachfeld says, “[Scot] is the nicest guy when we’re all just hanging out. He’s super funny and friendly. But the second he walks onto set and grabs that ax, it’s pretty frightening.”

Uh, yeah. No doubt.
